The Allen Morris Company, one of the largest diversified real estate firms in the Southeast, is pleased to announce that Mallori Morris has been appointed Assistant Development Manager-Markets, Products and Services. Additionally, Morris will lead the firm’s new corporate culture initiative as Corporate Culture Officer.
As Assistant Development Manager, Morris will work with the development team to design the products and services that will enhance the project’s competitive position to continually anticipate the future demand of residents and tenants. Her role also includes financial modeling, working through the entitlement process, interaction with the design teams, negotiations with the general contractor, contract administration and working closely with the property management team through the lease up; project management, assisting Senior Developers on specific projects to oversee the development process: purchase contracts, due‐diligence, geotechnical and environmental testing, design (architectural, engineering, landscape and interior design) and selection of a general contractor and related consultants; and project management, working for third party management companies on specific properties to perform market studies, as well as leasing, move-ins and move-outs, property inspections and assist with resident functions.
As Corporate Culture Officer, Morris will plan and implement programming that will maximize all positive aspects of The Allen Morris Company’s existing culture, as well as bring in new elements to help the company grow, retain and attract the top talent. The Corporate Culture program, launched by Morris, will host events, foster team building, build camaraderie, and offer programming designed to enhance not just the office experience but the overall lifestyle of each employee. Elements of the program will embody health and wellness, time management and meditation courses. Morris will also be responsible for enhancing the employee manual.

Before joining The Allen Morris Company, Morris was co-founder, COO and Creative Director of Malikoo, an online Do-It-Yourself textile company that focused on teaching contemporary needlecraft designs. Prior to founding Malikoo, Morris served as The Akola Project Director at The Ugandan American Partnership Organization in Jinja, Uganda where she managed over 200 local employees, designed jewelry, developed employee programs, oversaw savings and loans groups and helped create sustainable business plans for local employees while encouraging healthy and sustainable lifestyles.
Morris earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Southern Methodist University and an International Master of Business Administration from the IE Business School in Madrid, Spain. She is a member of the boards of BBVA Compass Bank, Coral Gables Cinema, Actors’ Playhouse and The Allen Morris Foundation.
