Developers The Allen Morris Co., Lamm & Co. Partners and Millenia Partners closed on the $4.2 million purchase of a 3.2-acre parcel at 111 S. Orlando Ave. in Maitland where they will build Maitland City Centre.
Maitland City Centre is a $67 million, mixed-use development scheduled to break ground this fall. When completed, it will include dining venues, upscale retail establishments, art and design galleries, residences and more.

The general contractor for the development is Walker Lamm Joint Venture LLC, a partnership between Lamm & Co. Partners and Walker & Co. Inc.
Maitland City Centre will include 32,500 square feet of available commercial space, and letters of intent already are being negotiated from leading restaurants and retailers, with commitments from an unnamed nationally popular coffee shop, Subway and Jeremiah’s Italian Ice.
The six-story development, which was designed by ACi of Winter Park, also includes 220 one- and two-bedroom apartments and 24 live/work units that combine a one-bedroom apartment with office space. Residences range from 700 to 1,300 square feet and are priced from $1,300 to $2,400 per month.
Maitland City Centre is slated for occupancy in 2017. It is expected to create hundreds of temporary construction and permanent retail/service jobs for the region. The development will bring new life to an abandoned Winn-Dixie property and the New Traditions Bank Plaza.
