The Allen Morris Company, one of the largest diversified real estate firms in the southeast, and Juneau Construction Company celebrated the topping off of Star Metals Residences, the residential component of West Midtown’s visionary Star Metals mixed-use development. The building will begin to welcome its initial residents this summer, with full completion of the second phase scheduled for the first quarter of 2021.

Star Metals is in the epicenter of West Midtown and will afford both its residential apartment residents and commercial office space tenants an amenity-rich environment, footsteps away from the Westside’s vibrant restaurant scene, high-end shops and everyday conveniences.

Located at 1050 Howell Mill Road, the 409-unit Star Metals Residences was designed by Oppenheim Architecture and Dwell Design Studio, with interior design by Square Feet Studio. Residents will enjoy an unparalleled array of amenities, including a rooftop lounge on the 9th level, and indoor/outdoor space with endless views of Atlanta’s skyline. The area includes an activated rooftop bar & lounge, game room, grilling area, fire pits, seating group areas, and a glass-box fitness center opening onto the pool terrace.

On the ground floor amenities include an expansive double-height curtainwall glass lobby featuring a high-end food and beverage concept, a private outdoor dog run, interior dog wash area, Uber drop-off room for residents, package delivery to the resident’s door, and resident library with fireplace. The building also features 15,000 square feet of street-level upscale retail.

Executives, special guests and subcontractors working on the project celebrated the project’s ‘last beam’ of the highest structural element with a celebration of thanks to all who are making Star Metals Residences a reality.

“We are so proud to have reached this milestone in the development of the Star Metals District,” said W. Allen Morris, Chairman and CEO of The Allen Morris Company. “We are passionate about creating both a living and a work environment that enhances the extraordinary neighborhood of West Midtown Atlanta. Everyone involved with Star Metals is both humbled and grateful to the residents and City officials who have been so encouraging throughout this process.”

“To have the opportunity of working with such an outstanding group of professionals, on a project the magnitude of Star Metals is a privilege,” adds Nathan Hedges, Managing Director, Development for The Allen Morris Company in Georgia.  “The excitement of the project reaching this stage of evolution is truly special. It makes us all the more excited about the whole of the Star Metals District.”

“A topping-out ceremony like this is one of the ways that we show our continued appreciation for all the skillful and hard-working men and women who are helping to bring this amazing project to life,” said Les Juneau, President, Juneau Construction Company.  “All of us at Juneau are proud to know that the work we are doing at Star Metals Atlanta is raising the profile and changing the face of Atlanta. We are making a lasting impact.”

The visionary Star Metals Residences is part of the transformative 4.75-acre Star Metals Atlanta development that also includes Star Metals Offices, the 14-story, Class-A office tower totaling 262,000 square feet that includes 35,000 square feet of retail, show rooms and restaurants, and the 176-key Star Metals Hotel.
